End of Year BBQ

wheelsinc1

Kangaroos turned to statues as we crawled slowly passed to the parking area. Willing hands carried tablecloths and food to the tables and cleaned the barbecue before cooking. Sally wielded the tongs, folk piled their plates with salad – lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrot, potato salad, red cabbage coleslaw, cauliflower rice and their choice of fish or steak with bread rolls to mop up juices. Keeping a wary eye out for thieving magpies, we chatted and enjoyed the feast in the cool of the evening. Grateful thanks to Sally for doing the shopping, making all the salads and cooking our choice of protein to perfection.
